Places for Making Home

Rent-Assisted and Fair Market Homes

HASCO owns more than 35 properties throughout Snohomish County. Half our housing is reserved for families and individuals that qualify for federal (U.S. Government) rent assistance, including senior citizens and people with disabilities.

We reserve some apartment homes for people who do not qualify for federal funding but still need help. We provide homeownership opportunities through several manufactured home communities. Our fair market apartment homes rent at competitive prices and serve people with average and above incomes. Profits from our fair market homes support the rest of our programs, services and properties.

We maintain all our properties with pride, and the intention of providing our renters with a place to call home.

Apartment Homes for Seniors
and People with Disabilities

HASCO reserves apartment homes for senior citizens and people with disabilities within 10 different properties. People who apply for this type of rent support, called the Senior and Disabled Program, also choose the property or properties where they would like to live.

HASCO Communities

HASCO rents and manages townhouse and apartment homes, small building groups each with a neighborhood feel. Rents for these well-maintained HASCO Communities living units are lower than the average for similar apartments in the same location. They are reserved for people who earn up to a specific income. These are called income-restricted properties.

Typically, the renter works full-time or is on a fixed income. Because rents for all types of housing in Snohomish County are very high, many people sacrifice basic necessities like health care to pay their rent. These properties provide people in our local workforce with a foundation for making forward progress in their lives.

Manufactured Housing Communities

HASCO owns three manufactured housing communities, putting home ownership within reach for families and seniors. All residents own their homes and pay a modest monthly pad rent.

We offer two community environments.

Fair Market Rentals

Twelve (12) of HASCO’s properties rent apartments to tenants who pay full rent. We keep our rent the same or lower than similar apartment homes in the immediate area.

These apartment homes are advertised online through conventional rental services, such as ForRent.com, Apartmentguide.com, apartments.com and other locator tools.

Development

HASCO works on solutions that expand affordable housing options throughout Snohomish County. When the opportunity is right, we work with local municipalities to purchase and renovate a property, helping preserve an important resource for that community.

Trillium in Mountlake Terrace and Westend in Marysville are examples of properties HASCO purchased and improved to help keep local residents in their homes.

Our goal as a property owner is to help neighbors stay neighbors and for families to have a place to call home.
