The Data:
The data collected is vital for securing federal and state funding to tackle
homelessness. It aids in understanding the scope of homelessness in Snohomish
County and identifying the demographics most affected. The Point-in-Time Count acts
as a key resource for prioritizing funding at both state and national levels, as well as
for coordinating local programs and systems.
During the 2025 count, a dedicated team of 340 volunteers, county staff, and partner
agency personnel across the county identified 1,140 people in 890 households
residing in shelter, transitional housing, or living without shelter in Snohomish County
the night of January 22, 2025. That year, the total PIT count was down 1.8% from
2024, representing a decrease of 21 people. The 2024 total PIT count decreased by
9.6 percent compared to 2023, resulting in a reduction of 124 individuals.
HASCO values the continued support from the community and its partners in tackling
homelessness and is looking forward to a successful Point-in-Time count on January
27, 2026.
