HASCO Awarded $7 Million from Washington State Department of Commerce
Everett, WA – The Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO) was awarded a total of $7 million dollars in a mix of state Housing Trust Fund (HTF) and Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program (CHIP) funds from the Washington State Department of Commerce (WSDC). The funds will be allocated toward the cost of construction for new housing for senior citizens at the 200th Steet Project in Lynnwood & another project in Marysville.
“We’re so thankful that both applications were granted”, says Victor Caesar, HASCO’s Director of Development, “This means so much to us as an agency, it will allow us to develop much-needed affordable housing across Snohomish County.”
The funding marks a significant milestone in HASCO’s ongoing efforts to address the housing needs of Snohomish County’s senior population. With the support of the
Washington State Department of Commerce, HASCO is poised to make a lasting impact on the lives of many throughout Snohomish County.
HASCO is especially thankful to staff at both the City of Lynnwood and City of Marysville that partnered with the funding applications.

These awards will supplement funding from sources such as cities, counties, traditional bank loans, and low-income housing tax credits.
Applications were in response to two separate funding opportunities and came from community-based organizations, nonprofi t housing assistance organizations, tribes and local housing authorities. Total requests for funding from state and federal sources topped $538 million, a record amount.”
HASCO has served Snohomish County for 55 years by providing housing for seniors, veterans, families, and disabled residents.
