HASCO Awarded $1.5 Million from State Housing Trust Fund to Rehabilitate Glenwood in Lake Stevens

The Glenwood Apartments is a 46-unit complex serving seniors and people with disabilities in Lake Stevens. The property was built in 1989 and has received few upgrades or renovations since its construction. HASCO purchased the property in 2013 and completed some accessibility improvements with an award from the Snohomish County Office of Housing. In December of 2015, HASCO was awarded $1,500,000 from the State Department of Commerce through the Housing Trust Fund. The award will allow HASCO to complete much-needed work to the property, including replacement of all windows, laundry room and community room improvements, and new energy efficient appliances, which will extend the life of the property and improve the quality of life for the 46 senior and/or disabled households that live at the Glenwood Apartments. Rehab work is expected to start later this year and be complete within one year.
