The Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO) is seeking public comment on proposed changes to its policy for setting flat rents for its Public Housing program.
Section 210 of the Department of Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act, 2014 requires public housing authorities to establish Public Housing flat rents at no less than 80 percent of the fair market rent (FMR). To comply with the new requirement, HASCO is proposing to amend its Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan to revise the policy for setting flat rents annually. The public review and comment period runs from May 30, 2014 through July 14, 2014.
