The Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that all housing authorities receiving federal housing assistance develop a "Public Housing Agency Plan.”
The plan documents housing needs in the community, the financial resources to meet the needs and the policies and programs that HASCO intends to implement over the next twelve months. The Plan primarily discusses the Low Rent Public Housing and the Section 8 Tenant-Based Assistance Programs.
HUD requires housing authorities to get resident input and feedback on the Plan. HASCO is now recruiting resident volunteers (including voucher holders) to serve on the Agency Plan Committee. The Committee will meet two times: once in mid-December and once in early January, at the HASCO office in South Everett.
